The village hall complex has two independent halls with their own separate entrances and facilities. Both have modern, fully equipped kitchens. They are dry warm spaces with ample power supplies, durable flooring and good lighting. They are currently used for a wide range of activities from pilates to preschool, badminton to beavers. Both have full, clean health and safety assessments, are regularly checked and well maintained.
Tariff
The halls are available to hire provided users accept the conditions of hire. The halls can be hired by the day or part thereof and as such the tariff is set depending on the type of event, which hall is required and the time and date of the event. The Large Hall
The large hall is well equipped for any event and hosts a full size stage, large kitchen with catering facilities and serving hatch to the main hall, disabled access toilets and meeting rooms. The Main hall has a square area of 132sqm and has a full size badminton court marked out and lighting designed for table tennis tables. The hall is home the Hughenden Valley Pre-school, Hughenden Beavers, Hughenden Brownies and the local multiple sclerosis society.
The large hall is ideal for wedding receptions and large family or business gatherings and in a formal dining configuration can host Approx. 120 diners on 12 round tables (see gallery pictures). The sound system can accommodate modern music systems and wired and wireless mics are available if required.
In addition, the hall is used by local Pilates and keep fit classes, Karate classes and hosts local amateur dramatic productions.

The Small Hall
Located next door to the main hall, the small hall boasts similar facilities to the main hall albeit on a smaller scale (81msq). The small hall is popular with children’s parties, local committee meetings, and small social gatherings. The small hall also has a secure terrace which is ideal when enjoying the sunshine whilst keeping children safe. The hall is also located next to the King George V field allowing the party to extend to the field in the nice weather.

The Playing Fields
Hughenden Valley village hall complex boasts a play park next to the coffee shop and includes swings, slides and climbing frames for all ages up to 12 years as well as extensive fields with two full size football pitches. The football fields are home to Hughenden Valley Football Club as well as hosting the annual village day, cricket match and other outdoor events. The field is a community space with the picturesque backdrop of the Chiltern Hills. (See photo gallery).
The fields are home to many interesting fauna which include orchids, trees and grasses which are maintained by a dedicated team of volunteer known as the conservation team. During the autumn and spring the team spend most Sunday mornings clearing and maintaining fence lines and developing areas to meet the needs of the local wildlife, by ensuring their habitat is maintained. The team are always searching for willing volunteers to help and learn about the local landscape, so if you are interested please contact us. The first Monday of June each year is ‘The Conservation Walk’ where the team led by local ranger, John Moorby, are given a guided tour of the fields and highlights the good work the team are engaged in as well as pointing out unusual fauna that is local to Hughenden.
